Custom Artificial Green Walls

Off-the-shelf panels do not fit every project. All Weather Greens designs and manufactures custom artificial green walls for architects, interior designers, brand owners, and project contractors who need a specific look, a specific size, or a specific performance specification — and who cannot accept the nearest stock design.

This page covers what is genuinely customisable, what a custom run costs you in time, and how to brief a project so the first sample is the right one.

What We Can Customise

  • Foliage recipe — species mix, colour balance, density, and texture matched to your reference or mood board
  • Dimensions — custom panel sizes and shapes for curved walls, columns, and irregular surfaces
  • Density grade — from facade grade (seen from below at distance) to high density for walls photographed close up
  • Branding — integrated logos, lettering, and neon-sign-ready backing
  • Performance — UV-stabilised outdoor builds and fire-retardant constructions for commercial codes
  • Packaging — private label, retail-ready cartons, barcodes, and project-site delivery marking

What We Need From You

The quality of the first sample depends almost entirely on the brief. Send any of the following and we will work from it:

  • Elevation or drawing — PDF, AI, DWG, or a dimensioned sketch. Overall width and height, plus the position of openings and services.
  • Reference imagery — a photograph of the planting you want, or of a wall you have seen. Two or three references are better than one.
  • Colour direction — Pantone, RAL, or a brand guideline. Colour is matched by eye against a physical sample, so a digital reference is a starting point, not a specification.
  • Performance requirements — indoor or outdoor, sun exposure, fire classification required by the building, and any acoustic or weight limits.

Our Custom Process

  1. Brief review — we confirm feasibility and flag anything that will not work before samples are made.
  2. Recipe proposal — a proposed species mix and density, with a digital visual or a physical sample.
  3. Sample approval — you approve a physical sample. This is the step that protects both sides: nothing goes into production against a photograph.
  4. Production — 10–15 working days after order and specification approval, with in-line checks against the approved sample.
  5. Pre-shipment QC — photographs sent before the container is sealed.
  6. Delivery — door-to-door with installation guidance, DDP where required.

Note on timing: custom development adds sample approval time before the production clock starts. The production window itself is the same 10–15 working days as any other order, because the specification is fixed by then.

Minimum Order for Custom Work

Custom foliage mixes typically start from 200 panels, because a new recipe requires a production setup that only makes sense at volume. Below that, the practical route is to start from the closest stock design and adjust packaging or accessories instead — we will tell you honestly which side of that line your project falls on.

Project Applications

Custom green walls we manufacture serve hotel lobbies, restaurant feature walls, retail storefronts, office reception areas, exhibition booths, and residential landscaping. If your project is in one of these categories, the application pages cover the specification detail: hotels, retail and restaurants, offices.

FAQ

How long does a custom green wall take?

Production runs in 10–15 working days after order and specification approval. Custom development adds sample approval time before that — typically one sample round if the brief is clear, more if the reference is ambiguous. Ask us for a dated schedule against your brief.

Can you match a reference photo?

Yes. Send the photo and we will propose the closest species mix, then confirm with a physical sample before production. A photograph tells us the look; the sample tells us whether we have matched it.

Is there a design fee?

Initial design consultation and digital proposals are free for qualified projects. Physical sample development is also free; the buyer pays the freight.

What is the minimum for a custom mix?

Typically 200 panels. Below that, we will usually recommend the nearest stock design with adjusted packaging.

Can you do curved or shaped panels?

Yes, within limits. Panels are rigid, so tight radii are built from narrower modules rather than bent panels. Send the radius and we will confirm the module size.

Do custom orders carry the same warranty?

Yes — 3 years outdoor against UV fade and 5 years indoor, on the same terms as stock lines, provided the approved specification is used.

Can you supply the test report for a custom build?

For fire-retardant constructions, yes — the report is issued against the tested construction, so the build must match it. We will confirm which construction your specification falls under.
