Short answer: UV inhibitors are compounded into the polymer during extrusion — not applied as a surface coating — so the protection runs through the whole leaf rather than sitting on its surface.
That distinction decides how a panel behaves in the UAE. A surface coating starts to wear where dust, cleaning and abrasion act first, and the leaf underneath has no protection of its own. Compound-based stabilisation cannot be rubbed off, because there is no separate layer to lose. For our two fire-retardant SKUs we hold EN 13501-1 test documentation and supply it on request, per project.
